Introduction.

These Terms of Service govern your use of Hibo, a personal finance management app operated by Hibo Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using Hibo, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately. For questions contact legal@hibo.co.uk.

Acceptance of Terms.

By creating a Hibo account or using any part of our service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have read and understood these terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using Hibo on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

Use of Our Services.

Hibo provides a personal finance management platform that connects to your bank accounts via regulated open banking APIs to surface spending insights, budgeting tools, and a curated financial news feed. Hibo does not hold your money, execute payments, or act as a bank. You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms at all times.

Account Registration.

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@hibo.co.uk if you suspect any unauthorised access. Hibo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conditions.

Subscription & Payments.

Hibo offers a free plan with no expiry and no credit card required. Hibo Premium is billed monthly or annually and renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Where a free trial is offered, no charge is made until it ends. We will notify you of any pricing changes at least 30 days in advance.

Acceptable Use.

You agree not to use Hibo for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, attempt unauthorised access to our systems, reverse engineer the app, scrape data using automated tools, or impersonate any user or Hibo employee. Violations may result in immediate account termination and referral to relevant authorities.

Intellectual Property.

All content, design, code, and trademarks within Hibo are owned by Hibo Ltd. You are granted a limited, personal, non-commercial licence to use the app in accordance with these terms. Nothing here transfers intellectual property rights to you.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability.

Hibo is not a financial adviser. Nothing within the platform constitutes financial advice and you should seek independent professional guidance before making significant financial decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Hibo's liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Privacy.

We collect and process your data solely to deliver and improve our services. We do not sell your Personal Data. For full details on how we handle your information refer to our Privacy Policy at hibo.co.uk/privacy-policy.

Termination.

Hibo may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or legal requirement. You may close your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of Hibo will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to These Terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date and notify you through the app or by email where changes are significant. Continued use of Hibo after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
